My Completed BTS Album Collection

I started my collection in September 2016 and have slowly added to it over the years. In September of 2021, about five years after my first ever BTS album, I completed my collection! Kind of. I am only missing one addition and I have not included the Japanese versions. Nonetheless, their original releases are all under my wing safely and displayed beautifully in my room. I have spent lots of time and quite a bit of money to build my collection of albums for BTS. As a result, I'm excited to share with you the highlights of my collection! Favorite Album: Skool Luv Affair (Special Edition)

Hello!! This is the best album on this planet- in this universe! While I love the content and packaging of the special edition, I believe it is musically one of the best, if not the best, piece of their discography. Dark & Wild and Young Forever come really really close but the winner has got to be Skool Luv Affair. I mean, you cannot tell me Just One Day, Jump and Boy In Luv are not some of their best tracks. All on the same album, at that! Plus, Where You From and Outro: Purpose! Y'all. Say no more.

Favorite Title Track: I NEED U

I know this song has such meaning to army and BTS being their first win. Aside from the unforgettable memories, this song is so powerful to me. I could listen to it forever and never get tired of it. The music video as well has inspired me for years and I am forever grateful for such a wonderful piece. My favorite writers worked together on it! ;)

First Album: Young Forever (Day Version)

This album was actually a gift from a middle school friend of mine! It was one of my favorite releases they'd made at the time and to this day has one of my favorite tracklists with an unbelievably lovely concept. I was so eager to receive not only my first BTS album but also my first K-Pop album! It's a deeply treasured item to me.

Oldest Album: 2 Cool 4 Skool

I was so excited to receive their debut album! There's something so sentimental and meaningful to have it. I don't love the concept but I love them and you can just see how hard they worked on it!

Newest Album: Butter

I preordered both Peach and Cream versions on Weverse which allowed me the free photocard gifts and when I opened them I almost screamed. I pulled Suga and Jin from the free gifts (my biases!) and then V and Jimin from the albums themselves (soulmates!). I think it's meant to be. I think Cream is my favorite. I love the summer theme!

Favorite Packaging: BE Deluxe Edition

Sturdy and clean packaging, BE Deluxe is the most perfectly packaged album I own to this day. I love displaying it. It looks so beautiful especially beside its smaller counterpart and the other white and black albums. I especially love the engraving of the Life Goes On lyrics.

Favorite Cover: Young Forever (Night Version)

Originally my favorite album cover was Dark and Wild; However, when I finally unboxed this one, I knew there would be no battle. It is so so gorgeous. Incredibly eye catching and pleasing. I also adore displaying this one.

Favorite Concept: Love Yourself: Tear

These albums had some of the best concepts ever. Concepts Y and O are part of my top three along with the Map of the Soul: 7 concept 2! I love the natural look of Y and the colors are so pleasing to the eye. When I pulled RM in this album, I nearly shed a tear because of how beautiful.

Least Favorite Packaging: Map of the Soul: 7

While I love this album so much and found the concepts and photos gorgeous, I just am not a fan of the big packaging for not that much content. I think the cover is beautiful and the album itself holds up nicely, but the inside content is too loose to hold together. It was a unique concept that is definitely interesting-- I just don't think it executed as well as maybe expected. I have only opened these albums two or three times because I am too scared to damage the contents! Love the concepts and photocards though!

Smallest Album: Wings

My parents bought me my first Wings album for Christmas in 2016 and I loved it! So pretty, loved the concept. The music videos and shorts were phenomenal and the story is so detailed and eye opening. I do wish there was a little more "oomph" to the packaging but I still love it so much. I have an affinity for little things.

Biggest Album: Map of the Soul: 7

Again, big album, little content. It was a bit odd and I think would be so pretty if it were smaller but I still love the outbox design. The series looks so nice all together.

Thickest Album: BE Deluxe Edition

By a longshot, one of my favorite album packaging. It's sturdy and simple while looking so pretty displayed. The contents are never-ending and so handsome. I love how personal they made this album and it's contents. It's seriously perfect.

Most Expensive Album: BE Deluxe Edition ($49.99 at Target)

Worth. Every. Penny. Do be sure to price match with other stores before purchasing! I bought my second Deluxe Edition for $10 less than originally marked at Target.

Least Expensive Album: 2 COOL 4 SKOOL ($9.66 on Weverse)

This price is from Weverse Global and does not include shipping. I ship internationally to the USA so the shipping cost is a bit high but I bought it along with 13 other albums at the time. I find it funny how their debut album is so cheap all things considered.

MUST HAVE: Skool Luv Affair Special Edition

If you can't tell, I am a Skool Luv Affair Special Edition enthusiast. The album sends you back in time when BTS were just some kids working hard for their dreams. It comes with 2 DVDs and 6 hidden tracks, including the addictive title track Miss Right. The first DVD is the MINI 2nd ALBUM SHOWCASE from 2014 while the second DVD contains the making of the showcase, the interviews and a hidden story with music video makings!

In conclusion, I am addicted. I started slowly but after a few months I became a real collector with a real addiction. Having completed the albums themselves, I have moved into collecting their randomized photocards. I've started collecting all of Jin's photocards but this will also take quite a few months! In the meantime, I've been considering beginning again with collecting TXT albums... Stay tuned to see more of that journey and plan!
